For over two decades, Jason has collaborated with companies and individuals on the selection, procurement, commercialization, protection, management, and enforcement of their intellectual property assets around the world. Jason provides counsel on all aspects of trademarks, copyrights, domain names, marketing promotions and sweepstakes, advertising, intellectual property (IP) due diligence, and licensing. In addition to transactional IP matters, Jason assists clients with international IP procurement and enforcement, anti-counterfeiting, state and federal court litigation, Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB) proceedings, and various domain name dispute resolution proceedings; including Uniform Domain Name Dispute Resolution Proceedings (UDRPs) and World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) .EU Alternative Dispute Resolution Proceedings.

Jason’s advice extends far beyond the IP world. He has provided general counsel to individuals and businesses, including start-up advice, negotiating business transactions (M&A, licensing, contracts, real estate), and handling dispute resolution and litigation in various sectors.
Before founding JMR Law Group in 2008, Jason led the Trademark, Copyright, & Brand Management Group for Dorsey & Whitney’s Seattle office. Jason also practiced at Silicon Valley based Wilson, Sonsini, Goodrich, & Rosati, and Alston & Bird.
When not lending himself to his client’s needs, Jason enjoys golfing, pickleball, and bowling league (with varying degress of success), as well as concerts, fly fishing, and most sports.
